We were originally scheduled to have Steve Ehrlich speak to us this month on Oddballs. Unfortunatley
he cannot make it. However I have seized the opportunity to talk about my favorite subject,
Guppies of course! I have taken a lot of photos over the past couple of months of the guppies I am
presently working with and had begun preparing some material centered around a theme of the direction
guppy breeders are headed. So that led to the term "Golden Fleece" in the title. But I have just bought a new laptop
and in the process of putting all the needed software on it found that the new 2007 version of Microsoft Office allows for
only three installations. And I have used those already. So what to do? Well I had been hearing about Google Docs for some
time and this seemed like the time to try it out. It occurs to me that the title "Golden Fleece" could apply here also.
Thinking about the price of Microsoft Office might even make the title more appropriate, in a slightly different context. So I have
logged on to Google and starting using this online software to create this presentation.
Come to the meeting and let's see what happens. I can hardly wait. Charles Pratt |

Dr. Anthony I. Mazeroll told several of us that he was building a big tank when he spoke to us last month. He has now sent the above photo and it came with the following caption:
Yes....I built it....
It is a 350 gallon tank (aprox 1400 liters) corner tank (triangular in shape). 6 feet on each sice, 7.5 feet front, 4 feet tall.. the glass is 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick....... Right now it has 2000 tetras (characids), 20 ram cichlids, 5 spotted scalakre angelfish....about 20 corydorus catfish...30 banjo cats, etc........... More later on this.
