Editor's Message
I was delighted to receive the very nice letter from Tom and Nevin Bailey which you will find below. They were very complimentary about our November show, and everyone who worked so hard to put it on really appreciate their kind words. Its the end of the year, time for a new slate of officers to take over club management and planning to begin for 2010. You will notice below that we already have several great speakers lined up for our monthly meetings, so it promises to be a great year. On January 9th we will have our Annual Installation Dinner of new officers. This event is open to members and non-members. Members receive a discount of $6 on their dinner. As usual it will be held at the Imperial Beach Boll Weevil which is made available to us by Victor Tongco, a very active member, and currently Vice President of SDTFS. He is an Owner-manager of the restaurant, and the food at this dinner is always terrific. We do a "Steal a Gift" gift exchange, for which participants do not have to bring a gift, as the gifts are supplied by the club through the efforts of Barbara and Jim Cobleigh. Our thanks to Barbara and Jim Cobleigh, and every one else who makes this possible. See below for more information on this dinner. Upcoming Events at SDTFS
December 13, 2009 - Annual Potluck begins at 6:00 pm. Volunteers
setting up will need to be there at 5:30 pm. If you come alone bring one hot dish. If there are two of you bring one hot dish and one side item. There will be an optional Gift Exchange (limit $10) afterwards. This will be followed by the Annual Awards meeting with Election of Officers. Bring catfish, loaches and fish art for the bowl show. January
9, 2010 - Annual Installation Dinner at 6:00 pm. Officers will be installed and
there will be a drawing for gifts. At the Boll Weevil, Saturn Blvd Imperial
Beach.
January 10, 2010 - Chris Turk of H20 Fish Foods. February

We enjoyed the SDTFS Show !! Pet Fish
Talk Hi All,
We greatly enjoyed attending the SDTFS Annual Show last
weekend. Lots of great aquariums with some really fabu-
lous fish, and the people were even better.
Talked with Ben Ivy and Clyde Quinn about guppies, with David
Huie about his Blind Cave fish fry WITH EYES, with
Mark Ferguson about his aquarium with a "spring" and
those Neon Green Rasbora! Charley Pratt's Black Bettas
were the best we've ever seen. Hey, they were actually
black! Loved Bill Cline's aquarium. It was great to
see and talk with Norman, Debbie, and Fred Kuperstein.
On Wednesday we featured the Show on our Internet Radio
